Project & Community Structure

Governance in the project is orchestrated via the following bodies:

  • Tranquility Base Core Team
  • Working group

Tranquility Base Core Team

The Tranquility Base Core Team (TBCT) is the maximum authority in the project.

Charter

The tasks and responsibilities of the TBCT include, but are not limited, to the following ones:

  • Define and evolve the strategic direction of the project
  • Setting overall technical direction for the project
  • Maintain and define governance rules and administrative processes of the project
  • Confirm or reject new seats in the TBCT
  • Establish working groups and coordinate them in the same direction
  • Appoint administrators of the community
  • Receive and handle reports about code of conduct violations
  • Act as an escalation point for the working groups

Membership

The seats on the TBCT are assigned for historical reasons to the initial team that originated the project.

Meetings

The Tranquility Base Core Team will meet monthly or on request.

Before the meeting the TBCT chair will share the agenda. The chair will ensure as well that someone takes minutes of the meeting to be published afterwards.

Working groups

Working groups are the main drivers of the community. They are established in order to discuss and make progress on specific architectural areas.

Each working group will have at least one lead (preferably 2) which defines the working group priorities and organises recurrent meetings.
